          UWinnipeg alumni develops software to aid COVID-19 research

          With COVID-19 clinical trials underway, a University of Winnipeg alumnus has developed a software program to accelerate understanding of the disease. Daniel Iluz-Freundlich, along with colleagues at Refuah Solutions, developed PI-Enroll, a cell phone app that provides researchers access to study-related information.

          Dr. Annette Trimbee honoured with a blanket ceremony

          The Indigenous Advisory Circle wrapped Dr. Trimbee in a Star Blanket during a virtual blanket ceremony in May. She is leaving her position at the end of July and moving to Edmonton, where her children reside, to become the new President and Vice-Chancellor of MacEwan University.

          The English and Cree cookbook that began as part of an Indigenous Studies field placement in Fisher River Cree Nation in 2012, has received international recognition as a Gourmand 2020 Spring Harvest Award Winner.
